jupyterlab-deck
Jupyterlab-Deck¶
jupyterlab-deck is a JupyterLab extension that transforms notebooks into interactive slide decks for simple presentations. It allows you to present notebook content in a scrollable or slide-based format directly within JupyterLite.
Here's a simple guide to get started:
Launch SeveTech-JupyterLite and open a notebook you want to present.
Open the Command Palette (Ctrl+Shift+C or Cmd+Shift+C) and search for: Start Deck
Slide¶
A slide is the main unit of a presentation.
It typically represents a full screen of content, like a title page, a concept explanation, or a visual.
When you mark a cell as a "slide", it starts a new slide in the deck.
Use it for: major transitions, new topics, or standalone ideas.
Subslide¶
A subslide is nested under a main slide.
It appears as a continuation or elaboration of the previous slide.
Marking a cell as "subslide" creates a new slide that’s grouped with the previous one.
Use it for: breaking down complex ideas into digestible parts while staying within the same topic.
Fragment A fragment reveals content incrementally on the same slide.
It doesn’t create a new slide but adds elements one by one (like equations).
Marking a cell as "fragment" makes it appear only when you advance the slide.
Use it for: step-by-step reveals.
